Due to inclement weather and icy conditions in the early morning hours, all CCD campuses will open at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024.
The final decision-making authority to open, delayed opening, move to remote operations, or to close the Auraria campus resides with the leadership of the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC), University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver), Metropolitan State University Denver (MSU Denver), and Community College of Denver (CCD). The decision to delay opening the Auraria, AMC, and Lowry campus locations was made due to the limited ability to provide safe conditions on campus and the travel conditions to and from campus.
What does this mean for students:
If an in-person class is scheduled to begin or end before the delayed start time for campus, it is canceled. For example, if a class starts at 9:00 a.m. but the campus is scheduled to open at 11:00 a.m., the class is canceled completely - even if that class is scheduled to end after 11:00 a.m.
Students should check their course in D2L for information about alternative delivery of the day’s course content.
What does this mean for employees:
Employees should report to their designated work location by the delayed start time unless their supervisor has approved leave or remote work.
Be safe out there, CityHawks!
