Hosted by Claudia Garofalo, Dr. DeSanctis highlighted how community colleges are designed to serve everyone, emphasizing the inclusive and straightforward enrollment process that welcomes students from all walks of life.
Concurrent enrollment—a program allowing high school students to take college courses has long been a cornerstone of CCD’s pathway to academic success. This initiative enables students to earn college credits while still in high school, providing them with a head start and valuable preparation for higher education. Peralta shared how the concurrent enrollment program positively impacted his educational journey.
CCD, like other CCCS institutions, is dedicated to supporting nontraditional students, offering affordable tuition at half the cost of traditional four-year universities. CCD’s faculty members are committed to helping students thrive by providing tutoring, career-focused workshops, personalized support and other resources that enhance student success.
CCD is proud to support learners from diverse backgrounds, meeting students where they are—whether they are current high school students, working professionals or individuals embarking on a new path in life. CCD provides flexible, accessible and high-quality educational opportunities that empower every student to achieve their goals.
