The funds are provided through the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME)—an initiative of the Government of the United Mexican States to support education for Mexicans living abroad. The CCD Foundation will match the grant funds dollar for dollar bringing the total amount of scholarship support for CCD students to $30,000.

Marsha Mattingly, grants director, and Andrea Kossik, assistant director of scholarships for CCD, participated in the meeting. After signing the agreements, the consul general presented a $15,000 check to the Foundation and Berenice and Federico were presented with a CCD mug and stuffed “Swoop” mascot.

The CCD Foundation extends enormous thanks to the Consulate General of Mexico for their continued support of CCD and our students!
