After more than 30 years, RTD is investing in its oldest rail infrastructure to ensure the long-term integrity of the network with the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project. This is a multi-year project, with the final phase expected to be completed by 2025.
Passengers on the D & H lines will be rerouted to Union Station, with stops at Auraria West, Empower Field at Mile High and Ball Arena stations on or near campus. The light rail will not stop at the Colfax Ave at Auraria Station. Some bus routes may also be impacted. The summer projects are expected to impact commuters until September 2024.
Stay up to date with the RTD Rail Construction Project or visit AHEC Public Transit for additional transportation information. Sign up for RTD alerts for real-time updates.
This information can also be found at CCD.edu/RTDClosure.

Parking rules and rates on campus varies by each lot, some needing parking permits while others do not. The Auraria Campus has limited metered parking with hourly rates. Commuters will need to download the ParkMobile app to pay. For Auraria Campus parking lot options, visit ahec.edu/services-departments/parking/parking-lot-options.
Register your car to avoid increased parking rates on Fridays and weekends. To purchase a parking permit, visit ahec.edu/services-departments/parking/permit-parking.
For more information on parking rates and services, visit ahec.edu/services-departments/parking.
For CCD's Lowry Campus and AMC, parking permits are not required.
Community College of Denver, along with CU Denver, MSU Denver, and AHEC, have been making changes to the campus’ WiFi networks. Instead of each building and institution having its own network, AurariaNet and AurariaNet Guest will be a centralized network across the Auraria campus, meaning you will no longer need to log in and out between buildings.
For information on how to login to the campus network, visit ccd.edu/AurariaNet.
Contact CCD's Help Desk if you have any questions and to provide feedback.

CCD is committed to a campus culture that is a safe place to learn and connect with fellow CityHawks. While we like to think our campus is protected from the stressors of the world, we know national and local events can often occupy our attention and heart. We respect and understand you may have strong feelings about what is happening in the world around us. If you find it difficult to process these feelings while focusing on your education, CCD offers many different resources for students and staff. Know you are not alone – your CityHawk family will always be here to support you.
The Auraria Campus Police Department (ACPD) patrols the campus 24/7. We encourage you to reach out if you are feeling unsafe, need to report a crime, or see suspicious activity on campus. Learn more about campus safety at ccd.edu/campus-safety.
