What do you do at CCD?

I teach philosophy, dispense with chocolates, provide humor, and am involved with various committees.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I love the students I teach and really enjoy the people I work with.

When you’re not working, what do you do?

I read many books, listen to music, watch Netflix and take care of a herd of animals (including my Great Dane Tink!).

What moment at CCD stands out as the most memorable?

Obtaining full-time status at CCD after 14 years as an adjunct instructor.

Who had the greatest influence on your education and/or career path, and why?

Probably my program chair Michael Mackey who has been an inspiration.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

To major in philosophy!

Which three people (living or dead) would you invite to dinner, and why?

Prince, Plato, and Nietzsche. It would be great to have some musicians and philosophers present to enjoy conversation with.

What or who can’t you live without?

My wife Laura, my Great Dane Tink, and my books.
