Opportunity Next

Opportunity Next was created when the State of Colorado enacted SB23-205 to accelerate skill development among graduating high school seniors.   

This is a one-time scholarship for Colorado’s class of 2024 high school graduates and equivalent completers for use in the 2024-2025 academic year.  

  • Provides up to $1,500 in scholarships to help cover tuition, fees, books and equipment. 
  • Offers Free career coaching and FAFSA/CASFA support.  
  • InsideTrack provides personalized support to learners on their educational and career journeys. Their evidence-based methodology focuses on empowering learners to overcome barriers, harness their strengths, and achieve their full potential. With a human-powered and tech-enabled approach, InsideTrack coaches work directly with students to provide tailored support that meets their unique needs. 
  • uAspire is a national nonprofit dedicated to improving the economic mobility of underrepresented students. Through financial aid training for counselors and virtual events for students and families, uAspire provides critical support in navigating the complexities of financial aid and postsecondary pathways. 
  • Scholarship will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. 

Eligibility 

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)/ Colorado Application for State Financial Aid (CASFA) 
  • For FAFSA assistance, contact the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC)
  • For CASFA assistance, reach out to Financial Aid at 303-556-5503 
  • Enroll in a minimum of 6 credits 
  • Enroll in one of the eligible programs at CCD for Fall 2024 (listed below):
