Enrollment Process for Students with a Disability

Community College of Denver’s incredible support system will give you the ability to learn and grow with teachers and mentors who are invested in successful individual outcomes. 

The Accessibility Center is available to assist students with disabilities. You are welcome to stop by the center and say hello when you visit our campus. If you believe you will need extensive assistance to complete the steps to enrollment below, please make an appointment with the Educational Opportunity Center. By attending CCD, you will be joining a welcoming student body and you will receive guidance from teachers and the Accessibility Center as well as other exceptional programs, making your time at CCD beneficial and rewarding.

Start here with these easy steps to enrollment and get on your way to an expanse of possibilities and opportunities. 

Apply to CCD

Get started by filling out our free online application. Applying is free; and if you are at least 17 years of age, you will be automatically accepted.

We will send you an acceptance letter via email with your Student ID number and instructions to log into your CCDConnect student portal.

Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), your application for all federal and state aid, including grants, loans and work-study. CCD’s school code is 009542. 

The priority deadline for the FAFSA and CCD scholarships is April 15.

Authorize CCD to apply your COF stipend to discount your tuition bill through the “Authorize COF” link on CCDConnect under the Financial Aid & Payments tab.

You have several options to determine your placement in English and/or math courses. CCD provides several options to determine which classes are best for you.

If you believe you will need accommodations for your test due to a disability, please contact the Accessibility Center.

Your SOAR session covers all of the important information you need as you begin your adventure as a CCD student.

Topics include choosing the right classes, resources, financial aid, and scholarships, getting involved on campus, registering for courses, and more. 

To access your SOAR session, please log into CCDConnect. Once you are logged into the student portal, click on the Success Onboarding and Resources.

Our advisors will help you pick the right classes, understand program requirements and register for classes according to your program pathway. For details about your advisor and how to make appointments, visit CCD.edu/Advising.

Register early for the best selection of classes and times. To register for your classes log in to your CCDConnect student account and click on the Navigate icon. Click on the planner tab to see your planned courses and build your schedule. Pick the dates and times that work best for you for each course. When you are done adding sections, click on the register button.

Your student CCDConnect email account is the official means of communication between you and the College. Once you have registered for classes, you will gain access to your student email account. At least once a week you should sign in to the CCDConnect student portal and view your registration, financial aid status, and check your email.

After you register for classes, complete one of the following:

  1. Make sure your financial aid award covers your whole tuition & fees bill,
  2. Pay your tuition in full, or
  3. Set up a payment plan. 

Make sure your mailing address is up to date with us on CCDConnect, as you will be sent instructions on how to select your refund preferences should you have any refund issued to you by CCD. This information will be mailed to you within 7-10 business days after registering for classes.

Make an appointment to see an Accessibility Specialist in the Accessibility Center.

  • The Accessibility Specialist will be able to start the process of getting accommodations prepared for your classes.
  • Accommodations may include furniture requests, needs for special classroom technology, ASL interpreters, alternative media books and even assistive technology training sessions.
