Community College of Denver (CCD) is dedicating its new Veterans Service Center on Monday, November 4th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. for its 200 veteran students. The center is located in CCD’s Cherry Creek Building, located at 1111 West Colfax Avenue on the Auraria Campus in Denver.
The center was opened in response to a request from CCD veteran students to have a dedicated space where they could receive one-on-one advising, have a place to connect with other veterans and have access to campus resources. The center will also offer veterans benefits counseling, access to computers and a place for students to print homework and other documents.
Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock and CCD veteran students will be offering short remarks. This event is open to the campus community and light refreshments will be served.
