Community College of Denver to Host a Black Male Summit for DPS Students
Denver Bronco Brandon Marshall to Speak about Overcoming Obstacles on the Road to Success

Community College of Denver (CCD) is hosting a Black Male Summit (BMS) to inspire students of Denver Public Schools (DPS) to continue their education after high school. The half-day event will take place on Saturday, February 16th from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in CCD’s Confluence Building located at 800 Curtis Street.

Denver Bronco Brandon Marshall will share his own story of how he overcame obstacles to achieve his goals and inspire students to reach their own personal success.

CCD’s BMS is a day of celebration and fellowship, whose goal is to encourage DPS students and their families to learn about CCD and the importance of a college education. The event will include inspirational speakers, community leaders, and student mentors. Informational workshops are planned for both students and their guardians.

To help defray the cost to attend college during their first semester, the DPS students in attendance will receive a $500 scholarship.
