Katrina Wert brings over 23 years of experience developing and leading high-impact programs in workforce development, adult education, and career training. In addition to her leadership and program management experience at CCD, she has served at Emily Griffith Technical College and Denver’s Economic Development and Opportunity Office. 

Katrina holds a B.A. in English and Theatre from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia and an M.A. from the University of Denver in Adult Learning and Higher Education. She has actively contributed to regional boards such as the Denver Workforce Development Board, Hispanic Contractor’s Contractor Academy, and A Little Something, a refugee crafts collaborative. Her career and community service are dedicated to increasing economic opportunity and resource connections for working families across the metro area. 

Katrina deeply values the learning community at CCD, including the Center for Workforce Initiatives team and peers across the college. She and her husband, Chris, a Management professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver, are parents to two daughters. They have lived in Denver for nearly 25 years and enjoy camping, rafting, live music, and summer road trips.
