How do I report an emergency?

Contact the Auraria Campus Police Department:

  • Call 911 from a campus phone
  • Call 303.556.5000 from a cell phone
  • Text-a-Tip to 720.593.TIPS (8477)

Are You Ready? Emergency Procedures

Emergencies can range from severe weather, fire, or suspicious objects/people to a bomb threat or an active shooter.

Bomb Threat Evacuate the building; do NOT use cell phones or radios within 300 feet of the area suspected of containing the device.
Building Evacuations Use the building’s nearest exit; do NOT use elevators.
Fire Activate the nearest fire alarm and evacuate the building. Call the Auraria Campus Police Department—911 from a campus phone or 303.556.5000 from a cell phone.
Tornado or Earthquakes Find a designated underground shelter or move to an interior room/hallway. Position yourself beside, NOT under, a sturdy piece of furniture. Stay away from windows and do not open windows. 
Power Outage Move cautiously to a lighted area. Check our homepage for more information.
Suspicious Person or Object Call the Auraria Campus Police Department—911 from a campus phone or 303.556.5000 from a cell phone.
