Application Deadlines

Submit the Documentation Required for Acceptance

Once the application is complete, all documents must be submitted by the deadline date for an admissions decision to be made.

Application Fee

A $75 non-refundable application fee must be submitted to the Cashier's Office.

Official Transcripts

• Official, translated and evaluated high school and college transcripts from your country must be provided.

Financial Support

• You must provide a United States or international bank statement showing that your parents or sponsors have a minimum of $25,565 U.S. dollars, which covers a nine-month academic year’s tuition, books, insurance, and living expenses.

Evidence of Proficiency in the English Language

Proof of English proficiency is not required for applicants who have graduated from an American high school. Otherwise, you must submit one of the following:

• A minimum score of 477 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or 57 on the internet-based test (official TOEFL score report may be sent directly to CCD by indicating the Institution Code 4137 when taking the exam). 


• An official International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.5 or higher.

• Successful completion of an intensive program of English as a Second Language at an approved institution.
• Proof of a passing an equivalent college-level English course in the U.S.

Other Required Documentation

Depending on your status upon applying to CCD, you may be asked to provide these documents before or after final acceptance: valid identification (Visa, Passport, I-94), proof of health insurance, copy of current I-20 and/or other documents to maintain your F-1 status at CCD.

Prepare for Testing

• Visit your Academic Advisor on the third floor of the Confluence building to review your academic goals and retrieve information on how to prepare for the CCD Course Placement Test.
• Please Note: A signature from your Academic Advisor will be necessary in order for you to continue onto the next step.

The Course Placement Test

• Take the placement test to assess your current academic skill level. There is a $10 fee for this test and you can only take it once per year!
• You must meet assessment requirements in the areas of math, reading, and English.

Pay Tuition & Fees

If you miss the payment deadline, you may be dropped from all classes and your original classes may no longer be available.

Self/Private Sponsored Students

You are responsible to pay by the payment deadline, each semester. To avoid your classes from being dropped for non-payment, please make sure that you do not have any pending balances. Please request an international student financial affidavit of financial support form from the Office of International Student Services.

Government Sponsored Students

Your classes may be dropped if CCD has not received your final financial guarantee (FG) before the payment deadline. Your government may request additional documentation from you to obtain a final financial guarantee. Please contact your sponsor and advise CCD on the status of your final FG.

MANDATORY ORIENTATION

Please be prepared to provide the International office with your copies of I-94, Visa, Passport, proof of Health Insurance and current I-20 (if you are transferring).
