Community College of Denver (CCD) has once again earned the Military Friendly® School designation.
The Military Friendly® School's designation is awarded to the top colleges and universities in the country that do the most to embrace military students, and to those schools that dedicate resources to ensure their veterans’ success both in the classroom and after graduation.
The designation is determined each year based on extensive research using public data sources for more than 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey from participating institutions.
CCD has served 400 military veterans and their family members. CCD offers individualized academic counseling and assistance with education benefits. CCD offers three scholarships exclusively to veterans and as well as having a dedicated veterans center.
“We are pleased and honored to once again be named a Military Friendly School”, said Gillian McKnight-Tutein, Vice President of Enrollment Administration & Student Success. “This acknowledgment displays CCD’s commitment to our veteran students and their families. CCD is proud of the contributions our service members make in our communities and at CCD every day.”
CCD will be showcased along with other 2021-22 Military Friendly® Schools in the annual Guide to Military Friendly® Schools, in the special education issues of G.I. Jobs® and Military Spouse Magazine, and on MilitaryFriendly.com.
