Dave Roshak, the chief financial officer for Denver-based cybersecurity company Optiv Security, will deliver the commencement speech to Community College of Denver’s (CCD) graduating class of 2017 on May 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the University of Denver’s Magness Arena.
Roshak has more than 25 years of financial and operational leadership experience. He joined Optiv in 2012 and is responsible for merger and acquisition initiatives as well as managing all financial activity for the organization. Optiv is the largest pure-play cyber security solutions provider in North America, employing 1,700 cybersecurity professionals. Colorado is emerging as a leading hub for cybersecurity technology companies.
“We are very fortunate to have such a reputable business leader share his experience with CCD,” said Dr. Everette Freeman, president of CCD. “I look forward to his inspirational words that he will share with our graduates—it will be a day not to be missed!”
Roshak, a long-time Denver area resident, started his career in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche in Omaha, Nebraska. and also served as the chief financial officer for the Information Services Division of Level 3 Communications in Broomfield, Colo. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Creighton University in Omaha and is a certified public accountant.
